So this is pretty interesting, I guess. Yesterday, I'm in a meeting when my wife busts into the garage. With a crazed look in her eyes, she flips her phone around to show me the screen.
It's a donkey!
I tell my coworker, I gotta go, and head upstairs. The kids are all yelling "horsey, horsey"! I go outside and sure enough, donkey.
From the clamor on our back deck he ends up getting spooked, and trots off to the woods. Our property backs up to the interstate so I decided I'd try to coerce him to come back. I grabbed some fruit from our fruit bowl (I don't know, why), and head out.
I ended up finding him right at our back property line. He saw me and started headed back the other way. Pretty sure he made it home.

Walking through the woods by my house, and saw this tree that fell and was supported diagonally by 2 live trees. Thought it was pretty cool looking, and obviously I had to climb it. How's this angle?
Seeking a partner in climb.
A man that knows how to carry baggage and make it look effortless.
A soul that stays committed to the way, despite the terrain.
Someone with eyes as blue as Crater Lake.
A man with a heart fixed on God during ascent and descent.
A man that will never leave me stranded and alone.
My home is with you.
Always.

Took this picture of my dartboard. What do you think?

Hiking is scary sometimes. Lots of noises. Super dark. But still super fun.
There’s nothing quite like trading the noise of the city for the sound of wind through the trees. Today’s hike took me up Cedar Ridge Trail — 6 miles of switchbacks, sun, and sweeping valley views.
Halfway up, I stopped to watch a hawk circle above the ridge. Moments like that remind me why I lace up the boots in the first place — it’s not about the mileage, it’s about feeling alive out there.
If you go:
🥾 Trail: Cedar Ridge Loop
📍 Location: Blue Hollow State Park
⏰ Distance: 6.1 miles round trip
⛰️ Elevation gain: ~1,100 ft
💧 Bring: at least 2L of water — the climb’s no joke!

I can't tell if the modals are disappearing or not.
